The LOtC Quality Badge

EPA is a membership organisation for the overseas youth expedition sector, and is the awarding body for the Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) badge. 

Since EPA was formed in 2003 it has been working hard to promote best practice in the schools and youth expeditions sector.

The EPA membership is made up of expedition providers catering for young adults under 25 in full-time education.  By joining the EPA members become part of a network of industry professionals available for consultation on a wide range of issues.



EPA has become more recognised within the wider industry, and was at the forefront of helping to create BS8848 and also the EVAC badge for overseas expeditions.
